Back

Got too tied up with too many things. Did not miss a workout. May have had the biggest pinch day left handed with the PDA blobette and added weight yesterday. I need to check the logs. The 45's are coming along with added weight also. Pinching the bigger plates seems to work the whole arm
intensely but the blob type work seems to stay local to the hand and wrist. Of course this may vary depending on your physical make-up.

In our brief visits to our beloved grip forum, we were pleased to see another hand size thread start. ;) The phrases "hand size" and "credit card set" should be banned.

We have got some amusement out of the "I'm quitting school to become a strongman thread". We are all for following your dreams. Better to try and fail, than spend your life miserable and wondering. If you make it, great. If you fail, and end up living under a bridge, giving handjobs to old chickenhawks for a few bucks food money and to save for a bus ticket home, well say la vi.

Took a week off to hit the beach, then got murdered at work this week.
Still managed to get grip work in.

We just got the latest spam from the Fictional Grip People. As we predicted, it looks
like Joe Kinney is releasing his DVD through them. Something else we will never buy. But who needs it now? You have the strongest gripsters in the world exchanging information at the Gripboard - for free - why bother?

Saturday - 9/6

Got a 630AM call that one of our data centers was flooded. B.H.I.C.A (Bend Over Here It Comes Again). Spent the day cleaning soggy shit, then turned over the facility the the water cleaning experts.

Did a mid-afternoon grip workout, then got called again that 2 buildings were without fucking power.

Immediately went to liquor store and acquired a magnum of Jack Daniels.

Do Over tomorrow.

Did We Click the Wrong Link?

We fired up, what we thought was our favorite grip forum's main page and was greeted by a thread discussing the health benefits of shitting squat style. Health Quackery advocacy is grip's dirty little secret. ;)

Wednesday - 9/3

530AM

Pullups - Right elbow/shoulder still fucked up. Laddered reps up and down. Forced range of motion. Getting old blows.

Circuited around.

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Tuesday - 9/2

45 Degree Hypers - 1 and 2 leg - high reps
Reverse Hypers

Tractioned right elbow with Jumpstretch bands.
Lower arms too sore to bother.

Interesting how some legends and oldtime strongmen are silent with condolences on the GB about the PDA founder. One legend has been milking the "621" Phantom #4 calibration for eternity. PDA was instrumental in this measurement. We will reserve judgement for a while longer.

John Szimanski of PDA - RIP

Just looked at the Gripboard and was greeted with a notice that the founder/owner of PDA has died.

He manufactured some innovative lifting and grip devices and was an unwavering sponsor of the forum. The PDA Blobette is one of our prized possessions.
