Observations

To quote others:

BLOCK WEIGHTS = HAND STRENGTH

Also, what is with all this gripper specialization? IMHO this is leading to unbalanced strength, and when you hit the wall, that is it. If you want to go up in the grippers, more training time needs to be dedicated to overall lower arm strength. Identify your weaknesses and work them. Check your ego at the door. The guys closing the BIG grippers are strong all over. I'm seeing too many guys that look like pregnant women. Shape up!

SICK OF IT

I am fedup with the endless debate about medium, easy, hard, stout, elitish, average, what-the-fuck-ever #3's! Who gives a crap about this? Of course the fuking things vary. These threads should be immediately locked on the Gripboard and Grippermania. Get fucking stronger and you will close it.

AND STOP STEPPING ON them 100 times as rapidly as possible for "seasoning", all you are doing is putting heat into the spring, and bending them. Just workout with the cursed things. As you get stronger it will eventually close.

More Gripboard Censorship

A member posted a link to Shenandoah's homemade page, because his forearm bar was featured on it.

Click here and scroll to the bottom

A nice device. I may go to Home Depot tomorrow to commence work.

The link was promptly removed from the posting. Evidently the OTHER forearm devices on the page, resembling an OVERPRICED device, were deemed inappropriate.

When will the lunacy stop?

I wonder how long it will take for the washed up NFL strength coach to appear and comment with his 3rd grade prose.

Amarok - Linux Music Organizer Player

I recently installed Amarok. After a few days, I am convinced it is the BEST music player for Linux. It is not only a great player, but it has extensive organization functions.

Here to download:

AMAROK

Be sure to read the wiki.

They just integrated the libgpod library from the GTKPOD project, so you can stay in one app and fire playlists to your iPod.

If you run Linux and have a pile of music to get organized and you have an iPod, get this installed.

If you like to rip and burn CD mixes, get this installed.

Typical Grip Fruit

If you have been on the forums, you know him.

Gripboard Observation

It seems that if certain "strongmen" are aligned with the "Inner Circle", their accomplishments are not to be questioned. Do not ASK FOR PROOF. They have earned their respect.

Most recently this was evident with the Brookfield thread. The Inner Circlejerkoffs dismissed his accomplishments. Sadly the legendary gripmaster from Britain also joined in the chorus. Richard Sorin got a pass because he was going to compete years ago but something came up (He's also a GB member and sponsor - we can't piss him off).

BUT question Slim the Hammerman - watch out. As far as I know Slim has never competed.

BUT question Bud Jeffries - again watch out - This guy has a history of backing out of strongman contests when real competition signs up and he has NOT won a major powerlifting event. And how in the hell do you prove you are "lifetime drug free"?

NOW without a doubt, if the Inner Circle Guru was selling the Brookfield DVD, then of course he would be the BEST. ;)

3Crusher - A new level of Douche-Bag

This guy carries on with a level of hero worship that I stopped feeling when I turned 14. Well worth joining the Gripboard for if you want to be amused. ;)

Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss

Another gem from Google Videos

Saturday Workout 1/14

John Brookfield Thread

It is now up to 3 pages. The douchebags who defended Bud Jeffries phony bottom up squat are now weighing in.

Steve the burgundy sweatpants joke is stale. Throw the fuking things out.

The legend from Britain just dropped 2 notches by offering his tainted opinion.

Jan14 - Still going. It must be a sore spot with the British legend. ;)

Deicide - Once Upon The Cross

NO One does it like Mr. Glen Benton

Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of the Great Apocalypse

Hammer Incline , Hammer Bench, Hammer Decline - 3 cycles - no rest
Rope Pullover - Heavy - 3 sets
Abs
Bit sore from yesterday.

John Brookfield Debate

It's that time of the month. There is a 2 page, and growing, Gripboard thread dedicated to how strong John Brookfield is. It is sad to see some of "top" guys come out and be doubters. Brookfield is the best because he is STRONG, humble, and GIVES BACK.

He gives plenty of strongman type shows, I'm sure if he was "faking" it, he'd be caught.

When one of these Gripboard pinheads crushes a potato, like Brookfield did on national TV, then I will retract the pinhead label.

Stock Investments

Well I took the plunge and bought shares of RedHat (Linux). I am debating about grabbing some shares of Sirius Radio and Apple Computer. I noticed over Christmas that my local Sam's Club blew through 2 pallets of Ipods.

If people are moronic enough to listen to Howard Stern's Fart Jokes, I'm IN. ;)

I have XM Radio in my car, but after going through their web page hell, I am having doubts about them as an investment.

Richard Stallman

As much as gripping is a great hobby, my true passion is advocating the Free Software Movement. Here is a video of the "Prophet" of the Free Software movement - Richard Stallman.

Thursday Night

I started on the "Warrior Diet" last week. So far I'm dropping weight and feel pretty good. I can feel the improvement in chinning already. BUT some are complaing about the smell of my afternoon sardines at work. ;) Fuk'em

New Douche Bag

Just saw a wannabe guru on the Gripboard elevate himself:

"The truth is that I have the ability to help a lot of you reach a potential you never thought could be. Instead of disagreeing with me and talking about "your methods", why not just comtemplate mine for a minute. Before there was the "Red Nail" and different certs for bending there were Strongmen who bent steel on their own. The oldtime guys were a hands together group and if I may say so, MUCH STRONGER than today's hands apart excess cloth crew."

Of course no video proof is offered.

It is good to see many on the GB wake up and question these inner circle jerkoff's.

SPUD Challenge

The Bud Jeffries 1000 bottom squat challenge has popped up all over the web. But his acolytes somehow missed posting it to any hardcore power forums. Of course the debate showed up on the Gripboard. It was good to see a majority of the folks shoot down the challenge. But some of the "acolytes" are pathetic. One pinhead advanced the notion the Bud's thigh are so enormous, he cannot break parallel. - BULLSHIT. Another ass-wipe said we need to understand Bud's definition of parallel.!? :O

HIS video proves - HE CANNOT do his own challenge.

Bud is strong - no doubt - BUT nowhere near the big dogs. He has won NOTHING of note. He recently dropped out of the Florida PRO-AM, when some proven competition signed up.

This all looks like a shoddy plan to start marketing him as some sort of "guru". I smell "Inner Circle" Matt Furey marketing down the road.
