Why get a clean video of you picking up the Inch Dumbbell with exaggerated tilt, when
you have done it "bunches" of times with no tilt, when the camera was not running?
Then when asked to do it in front of witnesses, you deny, because now you want
to tilt it for reps.
The British Championships should sort all this out.
Time to hit the Y.

The Dumbing Down of Lifting the Inch Dumbbell?
What the hell is going on with the grip world? The recent developments of someone posting a video of an Inch Dumbbell deadlift with excessive tilt, and the subsequent glowing testicle rubbing accolades has us here at the grip bunkhouse sickened.
It seems like yesterday we were treated to a moronic debate of allowing the deadlift of 2 rubber coated 45 pound plates on the official lists, now this potential travesty.
Tilting allows the wrist and palm to put the brakes on the infamous rotation of the Inch.
As stated on the GB records forum:
1. Must fully deadlift the Inch to a standing position

We could not help but notice that for the Nth time our "favorite" grip legend
had to remind us that only a certain few legends were lucky enough to get nearly
impossible to lift York blobs. Evidently the first 4 100 pound York dumbbells were
produced when Bob Hoffman was in the throws of dementia. Unlucky for the rest of
the grip world when John Grimek noticed the horrible mistake, and corrected it. ;)
Look people, if you are dominating a Blob50 replica, or just a run of the mill York, you
should have no problem putting away one of these so called "fat man" blobs.
(DO NOT CONSIDER the "new" YORK LEGACY DUMBBELLS - these are garbage)
It is only a brotherhood as long as it's only the big brother winning. ;)
It looks like the we are now into 4 GB forum pages of credit card set vs. MM set.
It is interesting that nearly all of the inflammatory comments have originated
from those who cannot close a #3 with either set. ;)

BEWARE - YORK LEGACY BLOBS - BEWARE
We meant to post this awhile back when someone asked about them on the GB a few weeks ago.
Well, better late then never.
Some unscrupulous asshole is trying to pass off the new York "Legacy" Blobs
as RARE on Ebay. If you are a newbie, beware, these are strictly garbage. We covered
them months ago here. One side is practically flat, while the other is round. They
are good for being used as DUMBBELLS. And yes we have seen them first hand,
as our local YMCA has 2 rackfulls of them.
Once again gripdom reveals its seedy underbelly.
AVOID.

We just got the new Milo here. We cannot help but notice
the editorializing that has been going on in the past few issues.
We were reminded last fall about the "CessPool Internet Forums" (sound
familiar?), then each issue needs to remind us about the lesser
gripper certifications, the self important legends of gripping, gripper seasoning,
dog legs, fooling yourself with deep sets. What the fuck?
All this "deep setting", seasoning, gripper cookin, certifying
took place in 2003-2004, near as we can tell.
Under who's watch were some of these "phonies" getting certified?
Hmmmmmm....
We have also had it up to fucking here about being endlessly reminded
that only a select few have access to extremely rare, overweight, nearly impossible
to lift Blobs. Yeah right.
We also propose that we attempt to go one fucking week on the GB without using the phrase
"Credit Card Set". Yes we know it's harder. Who the frig cares anymore?
It's 2008, let's concentrate on getting stronger and leave the sanctimonious
attitude at the cyber door.
