The Dumbing Down of Lifting the Inch Dumbbell?

What the hell is going on with the grip world? The recent developments of someone posting a video of an Inch Dumbbell deadlift with excessive tilt, and the subsequent glowing testicle rubbing accolades has us here at the grip bunkhouse sickened.

It seems like yesterday we were treated to a moronic debate of allowing the deadlift of 2 rubber coated 45 pound plates on the official lists, now this potential travesty.

Tilting allows the wrist and palm to put the brakes on the infamous rotation of the Inch.

As stated on the GB records forum:

1. Must fully deadlift the Inch to a standing position
2. The bell must remain horizontal without significant tilt. <-- NOTE 3. Only chalk is allowed. 4. Must provide a picture, video, or a credible GripBoard member must witness the feat. Further reading HERE by the official GB record Keeper.

...To qualify for the Inch Dumbbell Lift on the Gripboard Records List, you must lift the Inch Dumbbell without excessive tilt. The reason behind this is when the Inch tilts, the globe bell can be braced against the heel of the hand, or even the wrist. By initiating this contact, the athlete can reduce how much the Inch rotates, making the lift easier. To preserve the genuineness of the feat, the rules were modified so that the athlete had to lift it as level as possible....

Leave your frigging "self esteem" at the door people and do it correctly.

Excuse me while I go vomit.
