If you are just starting out. Introduce the levering gradually and start light. Be careful of your form. It is all to easy to have a sledge hammer go out of the groove. Aside from possibly smashing your face in, the sudden twist will injure your wrist. Believe me, an injured wrist is NO fun.
Start high reps,light weight and keep the form strict. As you get more advanced, it is okay to start working in some looser style reps. But be aware of what you are doing.
In the end it will all pay off.
