45 Degree Hypers -> Reverse Hypers - Spent about 15 minutes moving between them. Holding 2x50lb plates against forehead for 45 degree.

Grip Training - Still recovering from the fukits. Dusted off the PDA Blobette for some left hand pinch. Varied things around for right w/ plate pinch.

Titan's Telegraph in between. Finished w/ EZ Curls reverse curls.

Saturday - 8/25 - Musings - Paul Anderson 6270 pound Backlift

HUUMMMID!

Went into work around 5ish. Network looks pretty good. I'm guesstimating 1/3 have moved in.

While monitoring things I tabbed over to discover an entry on the Fictional OldThyme Strongman Blog. I was horrified to see that Paul Anderson's 6,270 pound backlift was a "well documented" feat. Yeeeaahh riiight, about as well documented as what U.S. border agents are given to them while rounding up illegals in the Mojave Desert.

If you want to read what really happened on that fateful day register over at IRONHISTORY.COM. The research is impeccable and exhaustive. Don't be dooped by the "Carnies" out there.

We could not help but notice that the phrase "blob lift", "blob clean" or "blob whatever" is beginning to be loosely used in some threads. The fucking "Blob" is 1/2 a York 100 roundhead dumbbell(NOT the new Legacy series) or a GordonV Blob50 replica. Anything else is just a block weight. Tighten up people. ;)

Grip Training - Have just been doing general stuff the past few days. Right thumb webbing is healed but the "stinging" is pretty harsh with any pressure on it.


We are going to go out on a limb here and predict that NO ONE NEW will IronMind certify on the #4 gripper for the remainder of the year.

We just received a steaming tape worm delivery turd in our in-box, announcing that the "Trap" "Shrug" bar is back in Oldtime Strongman vogue. In looking at the photos, we'd say just go to your local gym supply house and buy the ubiquitous CAP model. It will also have the elevated grips and save you a few bucks.

IF you are hardcore and need something that will go in a rack, have a generous plate loading area and be fabricated out of bullet-proof stainless steel, get the highly customizable PDA model. Keep the "Fictional" hype stuff out of your weight pit.

Now if you excuse us, we need to continue our starvation regimen so our number 3 closes will be more impressive than yours. ;)
